Welcome to My Kind of Science! My name is Maria Roussakis, and in this website I talk about science, as well as my life working within the medical laboratory.

Having graduated with a Bachelor of Health Sciences in Medical Laboratory Science at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (now known as Ontario Tech University), I have built my career around working in clinical labs, performing the clinical testing to help doctors diagnose disease and manage treatment. During my undergraduate degree, I also developed a passion for educating others in topics of science, and recently graduated with a Master of Science in Health Science Education from McMaster University.
